The trading journey of the Özyer Family begins with Hasan Hüseyin ÖZYER and his son Ömer ÖZYER traveling from village to village conducting fabric trade.

The Özyer Family opens its first fabric store in 1955.
1955
From Manufacturing to Retail
Hasan Hüseyin Özyer establishes the first jewelry manufacturing and retail store.
1960
Second Shop
Ömer Özyer expands the jewelry and fabric trade and opens their second store.
1966
Succession
Ömer Özyer transfers the business he built and developed with his father to his sons, Hasan, Süleyman, and Faruk Özyer.
1977
Venturing into New Sectors
The Özyer brothers enter a different sector and launch their first fuel station.
1985
Entry into the Construction Sector
In 1988, the Özyer Family’s entry into the construction sector accelerates the company’s growth rate.
1988
First Hotel in Fethiye
They enter the tourism sector with the opening of Asena Village hotel in Fethiye Hisarönü region.
1991
Continuing in Jewelry
The Özyer Family sees future in the jewelry sector and opens Gold Center in Marmaris.
1995
Second Jewelry Store in Fethiye
In the jewelry sector, the second store opens in Fethiye under the name Telmessos Gold Center.
1997
Third Jewelry Store in Bodrum
The third jewelry store, Bodrum Gold Center, opens in Bodrum.
1999
Starting Housing Projects
Housing development projects begin in Fethiye.
2002
Three New 5-star Hotels
Three different hotel projects commence during this time. Liberty Hotel Lara in Antalya and Tropical and Suntopia Palace in Sarıgerme, 5-star holiday village concept hotels, are realized.
2005
Establishment of Melden
Melden Group is established by Süleyman Özyer and his sons Ömer and Metehan Özyer. They start making their own private investments as partners of Özyer Group.
2010
Melden in the Energy Sector
Melden takes its first steps into the energy sector and starts its energy activities.
2014
Expansion of Melden Abroad
Matild Palace the Luxury Collection Hotel, one of the group’s first international investments, opens in Budapest.
2021
New Hotel in Fethiye
Construction of the first hotel entirely owned by Melden Group begins this year.
